Association Update (Erik)

• Prior to the board meeting, there was a meeting with BK, Greg, Erik, Jeb and Matt Moran (not present) to begin laying out a strategic plan for al of SLP Baseball (Little League, Traveling & High School ball)

• Player Registration is at 71 active players and 4 inactive players – The two new inactives are Sam Hauer and Malakai Hepp,

• Status of team binders / birth certificates – In process of inventorying all waivers and birth certifcates of active players 

Player and Coach Development (Greg)

• Pre Season Development update – 5 sessions so far, attendance growing
• Coaches Update
  • Need one assistant coach for 13A and  need a head coach for 15AAA
  • Trusted Coaches status – Set a March 1st deadline for all coaches being certified with Trusted Coaches. Joel working with coaches in need of completing certification
  • Contracts – Greg to meet with Mark
  • Playing time guide and coach code of conduct – Presented playing time guide to all coaches with no concerns expressed, so we are going forward with our playing time plan
• In Season Development – We are looking to discuss the notion of having coaches from Winter Workouts to help during the season

Baseball Operations (Jeb / Various)

• Uniforms (Sarabeth) – Selling last year’s jerseys and hats.Last years’ shirts will go into surplus for this year since they are the same.All coaches (head and assistants) will get a coach’s shirt.
• Equipment (Brian) – Got bats. We have pop up nets.  Next up is ordering balls and bands
• Schedule (Emmy) – April 7th scheduling meeting with MLB.  All teams should sign up a Miracle League game
• Volunteers (Kim/Julie) – Shifts will be based on blocks of time, covered by parents and players.  Players will be assigned to a time slot on the weekend they are not playing,  Parents can sign up for their hours on either Slugfest weekend.  Parents wanting to watch their player play should work the opposite weekend
