Baseball Development Committee Update (Greg)

• Coach Kelly has created fundamental bookletfor all players/coaches.Common vocabulary, common guidelines on defense and offensive strategy
• Interest in team hitting (Matt Farley), pitching (Greg Meyer), fielding instruction
• Who is interested in serving on BDC (Coach Kelly to lead the effort with support from specialists in hitting, pitching and fielding, along with age representation (12’s, 13’s, 14’s 15’s)
• Jeb to get with BK to discuss plan for Baseball Development Committee

 

Winter Training Dates in conjunctions with High School (beginning in December)... (Mark)

• Mark to distribute reserved dates

 

Coaches Selection (Greg)

• Add placed in Sun Sailor (should be going in on Tuesday)
• Want input of BDC to help with coach selection

 

Financial Update (Mark)

 

Slugfest (Greg)

• Dates of Spring Invitational are May 13th and 14th  (14AA)
• Dates for Slugfest (12AAA, 13A and 14AAA will be on May 19th – May 21st)
• Dates for Slugfest (13AA, 13AAA, 14/15A and 15AA will be on June 2nd – June 4th)
• Need to submit birth applications to MBT by November 14th and secure field space

 

Tournament Selection Committee

• Need to sign up for tournaments for all age levels by January 1st
• Erik Hokenson will help

 

Equipment (Brian)

• Purchase of practice balls (high need)
• Size nets of L screens that are stored in Carlson shed

 

Uniforms

• Look at costs and designs by end of year (possible to bring to December meeting?)
• Kara Bender should invited to next meeting
