Volunteer Requirements Discussion – tabled.

• Improvements – running score boards, updating boards, communicating with tournament teams
• Brian Piehl – SLP Basketball Association – to discuss overview of volunteer coordination for basketball

 

Additional non-voting board member positions - Need the following:

• Full time treasurer (TBD)
• Slugfest: Field general, concession manager, volunteer coordinator

 

Winter Workouts (Greg)

• SLP Traveling Baseball will offer Winter Workouts.  Invitation extended to SLP LL 10-12 year olds
• We are looking to get gym times reserved this week – looking for Friday nights starting mid January

 

Spring tryouts for 10-12's (Greg)

• Dates/times:
  • Thursday, 02/25  6:30 – 9:00pm
  • Saturday, 02/27 1:15 – 4:45pm
  • Sunday, 02/28 10:15am – 2:15pm
  • Monday, 02/29 6:30 – 9:00pm
• Need to get specific times set for age groups
• Need a communications email to go – out to parents via Backpack and send to last years Traveling Players (Mike Thyne)

 

Head coaching options for 2016 for 13-15's (Greg)

• Greg provided an update on coaching vacancies and coaches secured
• Website has been updated with coaching additions

 

Player registration via NGiN (Gino)

• 13-15 year olds - Looking to roll out in early December
• 10-12 year olds - Rollout in March after teams are announced

 

Slugfest (Dvorak)

• May 20-22
• Births applied for Gopher State, MBT, MSF
• Team fees: ages 13-15 ($375) and 10-12 ($350)
• Number of teams offered per age group
  • 1 10’s (10AAA)
  • 2 11's (11AAA, 11AA)
  • 1 12 (12AAA)
  • 2 13's (13AAA, 13AA)
  • 2 14's (14AAA, 14/15A)

• Field Scheduling and Batting Cages will be handled via Google Calendar for 13-15 year old teams
• Board will monitor field/cage sign ups to make sure there is equity time across teams
