Board of Director Discussion:
- Who are the voting members of our Present Board of Directors:
- President (does not have a vote), VP, Treasurer, Secretary, Website, SlugFest Dir., Player Development, Fundraising, Equipment, Rec Manager, Umpire Manager, Safety Officer.
- 2016 Board member renewals- all present Board Members are interested in staying on the Board.
- Annual Election- we will hold it at our October meeting. October 4, 7pm, Wolfe Park Pavilion.
- Additional non-voting board member positions available
- Slugfest: Bracket maker, field general, concession manager.
- Tournaments, Equipment, Scheduling, Umpires, Registration, Volunteer coordinator.
2016 Traveling baseball discussion:
- Little League relationship. How to best co-exist?
- How to decide 10s, 11s and 12s? Can we come together?
- Little League potential proposal- Allow two teams at 11 & 12, but no 10 traveling team. Board had extensive discussion on this point and determined that if Little League made a formal proposal, we would vote on that proposal. Without a formal proposal, we will not make a decision at this point.
- Spring or fall workouts? Little League must do spring try-outs.
Tryouts:
- When to hold them –
- 12 and under will be held in the Spring; 13 and over will be held in the Fall.
- September 19 (Saturday) 1:30-3:30, 15s Keller, 14s Carlson 22 (Tuesday) 6-8pm & 26 (Saturday) 1:30-3:30
- 13s at Aquilla, 14s & 15s at Carlson
- Evaluators- independent, non-parent evaluators. Top 8 are on the team, remaining spots will be filled based on a variety of factors.
- We will have a team selection committee
